Paula Patton is an actress and producer best known for her roles as a lead actress in the action-spy film Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol as well as the dramatic film Precious. Her childhood was located in Los Angeles where she came from a middle class family. Instilling a passion for film within her daughter was a skill that was a gift from her mother, who also loved watching movies. Paula was a fan of school co-curriculars and drama was her favorite. Paula enjoyed acting with her friends as well as participating in school stage performances. After performing in a variety of performances at the high school of Hamilton Magnet Arts High School She decided to pursue acting her profession. She attended the University of Southern California for a Summer Program and loved the experience. The program awarded her a 3-month contract creating documentaries for PBS. When she was able to complete the assignment well, she was able to begin working as an assistant in TV documentary production. In the following years, she transitioned to producing documentaries. While she enjoyed the work, she yearned to be an actress. Her acting career began with minor roles with Will Smith in the romantic comedy Hitch. Since then she has appeared in a variety of film and TV series.
