Amy Smart is a former American model and actor. Amy Smart, born and raised California USA began her modelling in Italy. In 1996 she made her first appearance as a actress in the TV movie Her Costly Affair. Her fight to secure an appearance for Starship Troopers, a film which featured only minor characters, was extremely intense. It was very difficult for her to make the transition from modelling to acting as the models werent usually thought of as actors, and they were usually assigned smaller roles that were insignificant. Amy did not give up. She worked her way up into bigger roles, beginning with The 70s series and Varsity Blues film. Amy later stepped into lead roles in 2005's romance film Just Friends starring Ryan Reynolds. Amy was finally recognized for her work over the past 10 years. Amy continued to make major films, such as Crank opposite Jason Statham or Shameless in which she was loved as a regular role.
